Take a look at Anton Lake. Buzz and I took a walk around Anton today and were pleasantly surprised. Although the gate is still in place, the car park was clean and had a few cars parked there. Walking round the lake we found it to be mainly tidy, very few geese and associated mess. Many of the swims are clean and well used. An angler in the bay to the left of the Tench pool had caught 2 Bream of 6 and 8lb using groundbait feeder. The lake has some weed, but not too much and the colour is good and clear around the edges. There are plenty of benches and litter bins.The streams are trickling into Anton and the lake is looking very picturesque. Night fishing is allowed to Andover Angling Club members and we are also selling day tickets at £5.00 for a one rod ticket and £7.00 for a two rod ticket. Fish caught in Anton this year have been recorded up to around 20lb's for Carp and Pike, also in the lake are Specimen Bream, Roach and Perch. Missy
