The match group saw the introduction of Team Pink for the 2007/08 season with 4 ladies regularly fishing club matches. With the introduction of "Birding", the jovial members of the match group have an extra reason not to come last.
The club has seen a cross section of venues to suit all including canals, rivers and commercial carp waters. With attendance on the up the outlook for new and challenging venues is a must. The national team had a good result this year fishing with one man down and at a venue never even seen.
The winter league team managed to make the final of the team knock-out fishing against Dorset Raiders on the Stour, but unfortunately the raiders team are river specialists and Andover were beaten on the day.
Out-going match secretary Dave Tucker presented the Trophies for the last time at the recent AGM.

The committee were disappointed at the lack of specimen entries this year. There were no tickets for Foxcotte and only 2 for outside club waters. Joe Stockwell for a 27lb 3oz Pike and Tracy Berntsen for a 3lb 3oz perch. This goes to Tracy on a percentage of the british record.
