This beautiful 8lb-8oz rainbow trout caught by Andover Angling Club's John Thirlaway at the Woodington Fishing Club on 10/02/2007. The fish was taken on the "Leat", on a Humbug Fly in chocolate coloured water. This 2lb 3oz perch was the best fish of the day, which included a 2lb bag of silvers and a small jack pike, all caught on maggot Roachy at rooksbury "take two" Four roach for 6lb 1ozs my best ever catch all taken with my new pole and half a pint of casters (The rest of my catch is detailed in the forum)
From club member Eric Tournier - "We were on a w/e jolly to Brugge - we had to cross a bridge to the town centre and there they were, hundreds of them (and nobody fishing). Went back the next day and there was a guy fishing and not one in sight !!!!!" Club member Simon Irwin caught this bream on a recent trip to a Lincolnshire gravel pit Simon with a tench from the same venue

Visiting his family in Charlton, young Koren Copelovitz (9) from Israel had his first attempt at fishing. He caught ten quality roach and two perch. He was delighted and thinks Foxcotte Lake is great. Samantha Theobald - 3rd in the ladies regional national. Paul Kenway with 'Chop' again - this time at a slightly higher 19lb 10oz.

'Hmm, I think thats a pb' - well that's what my dad said when he netted it. Not until I weighed it did I realised it was, by 5oz's! All 2lb 7oz of it.
